The Cossid Moths are usually large and have tree boring larvae. The large fleshy abdomen often extends out past the wings when at rest. This specimen has been about for a while, since patches of hair from the abdomen and thorax were missing. This one was about 3 cm long and the antennae are interesting.
Came to the lights of a store, Axtla de Terrazas near Xilitla, San Luis Potosí, Mexico.
