Ruscus aculeatus

Description:

This shrub is native to Eurasia and is distributed mainly in southern Europe. Presents an underground rhizome which they leave male and female flowering stems. This has fake leaves (very colorful) and true leaves (very small and located in the armpits).

Habitat:

Mixed forest of oak, chestnut and some pines.

Notes:

Ruscus has many therapeutic uses
