Description:

Large black and blue butterfly, body about 8cm long, wings with bright flourescent blue band across the middle. Body black, antennae black, underwings fully black with a small yellow stripe across the wing.

Habitat:

Seen throughout the rainforest, but here seen on the pebble beach along the edge of the lake

Notes:

These were not easy to get and I got nothing better, here on the lake was the only place they sat still. They were seen through out the forest, in the lowland and further up the mountains... but just dizzingly busy creatures, never siting for a second. ..
