Crambid Moth

Description:

Really pretty moth with iridescent blue and purple coloring. It sits upright in a triangular position. The legs are banded black and white and the face has a horizontal white band. About 1.5 cm long. Family Crambidae, Subfamily Spilomelinae.

Habitat:

Came to the lights of a store, Axtla de Terrazas near Xilitla, San Luis Potosí, Mexico.
