Description:

A neat Firefly with expanded, mostly transparent elytra and thoracic shield. About 1 cm long. In the second and 4th pictures the underside of the beetle is visible with a single large photo-luminescent patch on the penultimate abdominal segment. Family Lampyridae.

Habitat:

Came to the lights at a store, Axtla de Terrazas near Xilitla, San Luis Potosí, Mexico.
