This looks like a species of Meadow Katydid, Tribe Conocephalini. One easy way to tell Katydids (and Crickets) from Grasshoppers is to look at the antennae. Grasshoppers have shorter, thicker antennae while Katydids (and Crickets) have long, thread-like antennae.
