Description:

A female of the striking Black-bellied Gnateater (Conopophaga melanogaster), male photo was posted last year in Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=...). This Brazilian endemic of east-central Amazonia occurs locally in areas of dense low vine tangles. There it spends much of the time hopping along the forest floor and logs in search of arthropods.
