Motacilla flava

Typical tail wagging and restless running behaviour. However, only one bird of the pair has a yellow face. Maybe it is the male.

There was this paved drain alongside a new highway and just outside a newly made open air picnic area in Kolkata, India. A pair of these birds was foraging on the slope of the green verge leading to the busy highway.

Little confused about whether this is Yellow or Citrine Wagtail. Going with Yellow. Happy to be corrected. The taxonomy has been recently restructured.Plus there is hybridization. Migratory...winter visitor to India.
