Sandava Moth-Noctuid Moth

Sandava xylistis

Description:

A pale moth with a wing span of 20 mm. Both wings show thin wavy brown lines and blotchy brown patterns. There were a couple of tufts of setae along the dorsal aspect of the body.

Habitat:

Spotted under bright lights near national park

Notes:

It is reported that the larvae of this moth might feed on fungi on dead trees. Family: Noctuidae Subfamily: Hypeninae
