Reddish Egret

Egretta rufescens

Description:

They have a dark body with a reddish neck and head. The bill is pink with a black tip. They have a very strange behavior for feeding, you often see them running around in the water flapping their wings and looking like they are drunk, then they eventually poke their head underwater and come up with a fish, like this guy did!

Habitat:

They are found in Central America, the Caribbean, Mexico, and the Gulf coast of the United States.
