Hairy Blenny

Labrisomus nuchipinnis

Description:

Blenny are long, eel-like fish with large, bulbous eyes. The pectoral fins are placed far forward on the body, and the dorsal fin runs the length of the body.

Habitat:

Blenny are bottom dwelling fish, we caught this guy in a little crayfish trap we set in the rocks in the jetty while we were walking the jetty looking for turtles. It was baited with cat food. After we took pictures, he was released again.
