This is a wolf spider, a very large group of similar looking spiders. It would be hard to identify the species based upon just this one photo.

There is a fairly common species that looks like this, the Rabid Wolf Spider, Rabidosa rabida. This is just a guess and, based upon the size in relation to the plants in the photo, this one seems a bit small for R. rabida.
