Earth Star Fungus

Astraeus hygrometricus

Description:

Small fungus (I think!) star type, appears like a puff ball type has split symmetrically and formed this flower shape. light tan brown in colour.

Habitat:

Seen in a little cluster of 5-6 individual bodies around the base of a tree in rain forest near the lake (forgot to check the type of tree..)
