Eastern Wood Pewee

Contopus virens

Description:

This nest of baby Eastern Wood Pewees was stuck on the Camp shed under an eave. They look much like the Phoebe except they have wing bars, are quieter and do not move the tail up and down. They are a small bird with olive-gray upper and light under. Were not too afraid of us going near them.

Habitat:

Forest
