Reddish egrets and little blue herons are pretty similar looking, but there are a few differences if you know what to look for! Reddish egrets are bigger, but that's only helpful if you are familiar with them or have another bird by for a reference. Other than that, look at the neck/ head color. Reddish egrets have more of an orange neck rather than purple-blue the the little blue heron has. Also, look at the bill. Base of the bill is pink on reddish egret and blue on little blue heron.
