Peters' Thread Snake

Leptotyphlops scutifrons merkeri

Description:

This snake was less than 15 cm and 5mm wide. It was very annoyed by the small ants on the ground and kept on changing the direction to avoid them. I hav´d no idea that blind snakes had a forked tongue, but in the 2nd picture it is visible (same photo as the first one, but a bit more cropped).

Habitat:

Fund outside my house in the evening.
