White-tailed Deer

Odocoileus virginianus

Habitat:

Spotted on the edge of a small patch of timber bordering a corn field.

Notes:

I went for a drive in -5˚ weather on Sunday. The deer must have been cold too, as I saw 16! These 5 young bucks were foraging the edge of a field. Bucks will form bachelor groups, usually by age class after the rut.
