Wild Orchid

Plocoglottis sp. (acuminata?)

Habitat:

Found in the forest in a trail away from the lodge, in a non cultivated area of the forest. For such reason I am pretty confident that it is a wild orchid from the area of Sukau, Sabah.

@VivBraznell: Thanks for the tips from Craig. The genus is for sure Plocoglottis and I think it looks like P. acuminata. As there are also spottings of this species in the area of Sukau I have placed this, as tentative ID. Once again, thanks for looking into it, Viv ;-)

Hi Marta! I asked Craig & Dan as they are both into orchids :) Craig has replied "Plocoglotis gigantea. A shot of the leaves would help but Marta can check those in online pics." Hope this helps :)
