Description:

an adult, distinguished from all other stink bugs in the southeastern U.S. by a reddish spot at each corner of the scutellum outlined against a blue-black to purplish brown ground color.

Habitat:

urban school garden

Notes:

research says it eats cutworms, bean beetles, other stink bugs & earwigs; this one had stabbed a kudzu beetle with its beak
