Sugar Maple grows up to 80 feet tall. leaves are 3-5 inches wide. The leaves are 5 lobed. They fall off in the winter. Bark is gray and rough when older. These images are taken in early morning with sun showing through the frosted branches.

Habitat:

mosit rich soils in upland and valleys.
