Xenocarcinus conicus
Small crab around 2 cm, very well camouflaged on the Gorgonian Seafan that it lives on, which is red in colour. The Gorgonian Seafan are filter feeders, they opens up their polyps (which looks like tiny flowers). This Crab camouflage on the Seafan so well that it even has the tiny white dots to mimic the polyps. The bigger crabs usually would cut off a piece of the Seafan and decorate it on its head, giving it a pointed look. In the picture, you can see the pointed end with the white polyps opened up.
