Nyctibatrachus petraeus
Nyctibatrachus is a genus of frogs endemic to the Western Ghats of southwestern India. Here's a tadpole just emerging out of an egg. In Nyctibatrachus sp. eggs are laid bare on vegetation and the males guard their clutches of eggs. When tadpoles have finished developing inside the eggs, they wriggle out of the egg-jelly and fall in the water below, where they develop further.
