Charidotella sexpunctata
This tortoise beetle stood out like a beautiful little gem. It was only around 5-7 mm, but it was startlingly shiny and golden in the sunilight
On a wooden walkway that went through a flooded forest. The forest normally just has a river running through it, but much of the forest was probably at least knee deep, if not much deeper from all the rain.
After reading up on it, I learned that adults change color when disturbed! You can see the variations of color in the link provided.
