Haemanthus sp.

Description:

Fleshy leaves and stem. Plant to 40cms tall. Showy red flowers. Grows from a bulb. Once it dies back the bulb lies dormant until conditions are good for germination.

Habitat:

Growing in suburban garden. Wonderful show of Blood lilies can be seen from the living room window.
