In the forest of the North Coast Range, less than 1000', close to river
Please do not pick this flower. It is tempting, because it is lovely. I believe it is a threatened native plant. There are rumours that one would be fined, convicted of a crime, for possessing this flowering plant. Best to just take photos, and not pick.
