SargonR, I think it's definitely an Achatina sp., as you and Tabris Tabarsi have suggested.
I think this is either:
A. marginata (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Archac...)
-or-
A. achatina (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Achati...), though.
It definitely resembles these more than the light-shelled A. fulica.
