Description:

A passerine visitor at the backyard feeder (Texas Corners, Michigan, USA)

Habitat:

These birds are found throughout the eastern and central United States, south to Florida and northeastern Texas. Also in Southern Canada (including the southern areas of provinces from Alberta eastward to Quebec and throughout the Atlantic provinces).

Notes:

The blue jay mainly feeds on nuts and seeds such as acorns, soft fruits, arthropods, and occasionally small vertebrates.
