A worldwide community photographing and learning about wildlife
Bufo bufo
•They are the fourth most common amphibians in Europe. •They eat woodlice, slugs, beetles, caterpillars, flies, earthworms and even small mice. •They have a noxious substance, bufotoxin, which is used to deter potential predators.
Forested areas with coniferous, deciduous and mixed woodland, especially wet locations, they also inhabit open countryside, fields, copses, parks, gardens and dry areas -I saw these toads in Hildesheim(Germany)
