Spotting

Habitat:

Habitat where this caterpillar was found was on a hill which is shrub dominated. Shrub species include Artemisia tridentata ssp. wyomingensis (Wyoming Big sagebrush), Grayia spinosa (Spiny hopsage), Prunus Andersonii (desert peach), Ephedra viridis (Mormon tea). Grass species: Bromus Tectorum (Cheat grass), Elymus elymoides (squirel tail), Vulpia microstachys (small fescue), Poa Secunda (sandberg bluegrass). Forbs: Gilia inconspicua ( sweet shy gilia), Erodium cicutarium (redstem stork's bill), Allium (onion), Crepis occidentalis ( largeflower hawksbeard), Phlox longifolia ( longleaf phlox).

Notes:

Catapillar was on the stem of a dead Wyoming big sagebrush (Artemisia tridentata ssp. wyomingensis)
