Description:

Green bird, at least one foot long, with bright reddish-orange beak.

Habitat:

Suburban area on a mesic, tropical, insular lowland plateau.

Notes:

Spotted on a palm tree in my backyard, dining on palm fruit. Another year, another bird, same species (still invasive), same restaurant, same menu.

Its ring is greenish...so I am thinking this one is a female. Males have a prominent red or dark pink ring around their necks which gives them their name. Lovely shot against the yellow fruits.
