American Kestrel

Description:

Smallest North American Falcon. Male has slate-blue head and wings with rusty-red back and tail; the female has the same reddish color on her wings, back, and tail.

Habitat:

Saw this Kestrel across the street from my development in Middleway, WV - he is there frequently sitting on the phone lines or in the few trees behind the phone lines.
