Description:

These grasshoppers are very common in the hot summer. They are very skinny and narrow. They feed on grass and can be a pest to gardens and farms. They are powerful jumpers and are often seen basking on the sidewalk and sunny patches.

Habitat:

clearings in heavily wooded areas and where there are plenty of hiding places.
