Pickerel Frog

Lithobates palustris

Description:

A smooth-skinned frog, with dorsal brown rectangular blotches, which are arranged in two rows. It's gray or tan in color, with a bright yellow color on the hind legs and belly.

Habitat:

I spotted this frog hopping around on the bank of a stream. There were lots of little woodland pools along the edge of the stream.
