Description:

A small, red, yellow and white flower. The tube is bright red and the petals and throat are spotted. It is covered with small white hairs (as are the leaves) and around the throat of the flower are both pollen and nectar stuck to the small hairs. The buds begin as small red hairy puff balls. The flowers are no more than 2 cm long. Family Gesneriaceae.

Habitat:

Growing wild close to the ground, heavy undergrowth along the highway.
