Irish Plume Moth

Description:

A plume moth with some dark markings that is bordered by light gray on the wings. The body and legs are mostly light gray. The wingspan is 17–20 mm.

Habitat:

Spotted on its host plant, Antennaria dioica (mountain everlasting) in an open area next to a coniferous forest. Eastern Washington (Elev. 2200).

Notes:

Hosts plants: Asteraceae, oligophagous. Flies in May and June. Found in mountainous regions of Europe and North America.
