Eucalyptus Gall

Apiomorpha sp.

Description:

An elongated gall about 20 mm long with a short stalk arising from a slender branch. The gall was narrower at the base, then widening before tapering towards the free end which had a hole. The gall's exterior was ridged.

Habitat:

Spotted on a eucalypt, possibly swamp gum (Eucalyptus ovata) on the side of a storm drain/gully beside a creek.

Notes:

Unsure of the ID. Hoping to get some expert help on this.
