Semiotus distinctus (Herbst, 1806)
Semiotus distinctus is a species of beetle belonging to the family Elateridae. It measures 28-48 mm long and has bright coloration from reddish-yellow to ferrugineous, with longitudinal stripes on pronotum and elytra from reddish-brown to black.

I found this critter in Atlantic Forest, at Parque São Vicente, the place I shot almost all photographs shown here until now.
The town of the coordinates (lat: -22.538514, long: -43.228292) that I used for search, is not DUQUE DE CAXIAS, as reports the search map tool of this page, but PETRÓPOLIS, as shown here:
