Violet family, Violaceae. Most likely Viola sororia or Viola affinis. Most violets have cordate (heart-shaped) leaves, but this one doesn't seem to. It's still early in the season, so it's hard to tell, but you may have stumbled upon a Viola sagittata var. ovata.
