Oriental Pratincole

Description:

"These birds have short legs, long pointed wings and long forked tails. They have short bills, which is an adaptation to aerial feeding. The back and head are brown, and the wings are brown with black flight feathers. The belly is white. The underwings are chestnut." (Wiki)

Habitat:

There was just a couple of these lovely little birds hanging around in the burnt stubble of the grasslands that the Bengal Florican inhabits. The location is not exact as it is quite difficult to pinpoint a location out in the middle of nowhere!
