Bark Louse

Description:

This is our largest Bark Louse species in our forest areas. About 8-9 mm long and beautifully patterned in black and yellow. Family Psocidae. See this spotting of the mother bark louse tending to newly hatched babies (https://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/70...).

Habitat:

Deep shade, Forest, about 5 km up Mt. Huitepec, west of San Cristobal de Las Casas, Chiapas, Mexico.
