Description:

saw this one hunting while on a snake walk with irula tribemen(one of them is kalli who has appeared in national geographic channel programs) near the villages in east coast road Chennai .these irula collect wild venomous snakes for Irula Snake Catchers’ Industrial Cooperative Society snake-catchers’ cooperative does more than amuse or educate tourists. Venom is scientifically extracted from snakes, processed into powder and sent to make serum which can counter post snake bite effects. snakes are released back into wild in presence of a forest ranger
