Banded Bee

Amegilla Atrocincta

Description:

I absolutely adore these little bees. The very striped Abdomen and their large eyes and long tongue. Their flight is a lot more sophisticated than your average bee and they have mastered the hover technique very well. They are known to rest in groups overnight with their jaws embedded in grass stems

Habitat:

Very diverse habitat from gardens to Mountain slopes.
