Artocarpus heterophyllus Lam.
This is a baby jackfruit tree. Its leaves look as if they have holes in them. The jackfruit has leaves like this when it is young because it is mostly self-sufficient and is relying on the nutrients from the seed. The young jackfruit tree is hard to recognize when compared to a fully grown fruiting one. The leaves range from 4 inches to about 6 inches. The leaves have a leathery feel and the veins on the underside can be feel. The plant itself is about 4.5 feet high. The leaves all have different shapes and each are unique.
