This is a brown moth. I found this brown moth, resting on a concrete step, leading into the garage, at 7:30 a.m. in the morning. The color of this moth, was different shades of brown. It had two compound eyes, and two segmented antennae. It had a snout, on the front of its head. It had six legs and four wings. It was resting, with its wings, held flat against its body. The rear end of its wings, were jagged. This moth was about three fourths of an inch wide. Moths, have a body, with three main parts. The head, thorax, and an abdomen. Moths and butterflies, form a large order of insects, known as Lepidoptera. This moth was alive, and able to fly.
