Description:

The ruddy darter (Sympetrum sanguineum) is a European species of dragonfly. This female was hiding in between the leaves of the plants, as she was trying to find a cover from the heavy rain. She was spotted near Agios Ioannis village, Pelion mountain, Greece. The species is very common in the area.
