Unknown to me. This one was found in a suburban habitat surrounded by primary and secundary forests.

Notes:

O gênero Mania pertence à ordem Lepidoptera, subdivisão Bombycina, superfamília Geometroidea, família Sematuridae e subfamília Sematurinae.

As larvas de Mania foram documentadas se alimentando de Fabaceae e Myrtaceae.

Costumavam pertencer ao gênero Nothus que foi modificado para o gênero Sematura, mas ambas estas nomenclaturas estão incorretas; o gênero correto, atualmente, é Mania. A família Sematuridae também pode mudar no futuro. O sujeito retratado PARECE ser um macho, mas não consegui nenhuma evidência conclusiva para comprovar isot. Mania foram vistas se camuflando próximas à Mimosaceae.

A família é feita de, principalmente, indivíduos noturnos e crepusculares. Há 35 espécies na família Sematuridae, onde um único gênero com uma espécie ocorre na África (ao que engloba meu conhecimento, então necessita-se de confirmação) enquanto os outros ocorrem na zona Neotropical. A envergadura das asas dos adultos podem ir de 42 à 100mm e o corpo da maioria das espécies é robusto. As asas são triangulares; asas posteriores apresentam uma projeção caudal com ocelos desenhados.

The genus Mania belongs in the order Lepidoptera, subdivision Bombycina, superfamily Geometroidea, family Sematuridae and subfamily Sematurinae.

The larvae of Mania were documented feeding on Fabaceae and Myrtaceae.

They used to belong in the genus Nothus and were later changed to Sematura, but both of these nomenclatures are incorrect; the correct genus name, as of now, is Mania. The family Sematuridae might also change in the future. The subject portrayed SEEMS to be a male, but I can't find any conclusive evidence that proves this point. Mania were also seen camouflaging themselves near Mimosaceae.

The family is made of, mainly, nocturnal and crepuscular individuals. There are 35 species in the family Sematuridae; a single genus with one species occurs in Africa (as far as my knowledge goes, so this requires confirmation) whilst the others occur in the Neotropical zone. The wingspan of adults in this family can go from 42 to 100mm and their body is robust in most species. The wings are triangular; posterior wings present a tail-like projection with oceli designs.
