Leaf Mimic Planthopper

Acanalonia conica

Description:

A chartreuse green Flatid type hopper with a lovely leaf venation pattern. The individual in the first 2 pictures has red eyes, while the one in the last picture has pale brown eyes. About 1 cm long. Family Acanaloniidae.

Habitat:

Came to an ultraviolet light. Finca Argovia, Ruta de Cafe, Soconusco area of southern Chiapas, Mexico. About 1 hour from Tapachula.

Looks like an Acanalonia species. Possibly A. conica
