Mason Bee

Description:

Small mason bee, around 1 cm in length, the bee is black and white covered with hairs, small antennas and have on the abdomen several white bands. The yellow on the legs is pollen gathered from flowers. This species resembles Fringe-horned Mason Bee(Osmia pilicornis), but the quality of the photos are not sufficient for good enough ID for now.

Habitat:

Close to city, dug out sandbank, farmland.
