Habitat:

In winter: beaches and rocky coasts, mudflats and marshes. During breeding: (eastern population) coastal saltmarshes and on barrier beaches and islands.

Notes:

There were quite a few of these, as you can see, working the beach with the much smaller Sanderlings. They kept seperate though.
