Oemlaria cerasiformis

Description:

Short cascade of small white flowers hanging from usually leggy, tall shrub branches. The leaves have barely emerged when the flower is in full bloom.

Habitat:

Coastal rainforest of Douglas fir, hemlock, cedar etc. On a hill leading to a creek which led to the saltwater inlet.

Notes:

Blooming around the same time as the earliest cherry blossoms.
